Dover Bay Parents Presentation to SD68 School Board Meeting

Parents Night – Vancouver Island University

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010
7:30pm in Building 300 – Royal Arbutus Room

This is a special evening targeted to parents who have children considering post-secondary education. This event will be an open forum highlighting Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) program options, the admission process, advising, financial aid and more. ‘Your Ticket to Fun’ Friday Fun Nights for Girls ages 10-12 and 13-15

When: Friday’s between 6-8:30 pm, Sign-in starts at 6pm-6:25pm activity starts at 6:30pm promptly

Friday Fun Nights are weekly events where girls can come out and have fun with an educational twist that parents appreciate. Angela Slade, BA CYC is a Certified Child and Youth Counsellor and owns Esteem Services and founded EsteemedCHICs.com. She is a parent and teen educator, life coach, program developer, and consultant. She teamed up with Carla Redford, owner of Backstage Pass Events to deliver her enriched, fun Esteemed CHICs programs to girls ages 10-15. The programs help girls address and navigate the challenges and struggles they face during various developmental stages including transition to high school, relational aggression, and overall stress and anxiety that is normal with development. Angela’s goal is to empower girls to ‘Be Who They Are’. If parents want more information they can visit
