The Prom Committe consists of Parents and Grade 12 Students that meet to organize this event.

Grade 12 Parents and Grads,

This is our final email regarding Dover Prom 2010, and concludes the exceptional efforts of so many. What an amazing success it was!

We have just received the final budget figures, which far exceed our expectations. We now know it is possible for Prom to be held at the school, at $55/ticket, with little or no fundraising!

Dover Prom 2010 has left a wonderful legacy: a functional plan for how to have Prom in the gym, the wires for a dropped ceiling, a Prom storage locker in D Wing, an administrative support system, 60 feet of pipe and drape, 250 feet of rope lighting, and a variety of Prom Props & Decorations. In addition to Prom, these supplies can be used for other school functions.

In accordance with Committee directions, money was set aside for the 2010 Dry Grad, Prom 2011, fabric for the Pipe and Drape, and a donation to Dover's Me to We charity program. The remaining surplus will be prudently dispersed in the fall.

We believe the greatest achievement of Prom 2010 was that of bringing together the heart-felt efforts of the entire community - parents, students, administration, teachers and business. It is our hope that Prom 2011 will continue at the school for this reason, if no other. In addition, the template is set; it will become progressively more efficient, economical and cohesive.
